This Opportunity: We are seeking a Veterinarian to join our well-established practice at Mt. Sterling Veterinary Clinic! There is plenty of room for professional growth and flexibility in this role.

About Our Practice & Services: Mt. Sterling Veterinary Clinic is a full service animal clinic located in the peaceful town of Mt. Sterling, IL. We currently take on a variety of cases, from routine wellness checkups to emergency care, and take pride in the quality of medicine we provide to all of our patients! These consist of: dogs, cats, cattle, equine, sheep, and goats.

The quality of our services are enhanced through the updated equipment we possess, such as in-house CBC/Chem lab, ultrasound, digital radiography, dental care, a haul-in facility, and more.

About Our Team & Culture: Our team at Mt. Sterling currently consists of one veterinarian, an office manager/LA technician, a bookkeeper/SA technician, four veterinary assistants, and three receptionists.

We have worked together for quite some time to promote an open, honest, casual, and collaborative culture. There is mutual respect across the board and we enjoy working with each other on a daily basis.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate possesses experience in the mixed animal field, is highly motivated, is a team player, and realizes the importance of mutual respect for all staff members. Bonus points for having an interest in future practice ownership! We also offer emergency care for our patients and would like to keep this as a shared responsibility among doctors.

Mixed animal experience is not required and mentorship will be provided as needed.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements: Veterinarian responsibilities include: conducting patient exams, conventional surgeries, various treatments, lab work, emergency care, operating medical equipment, diagnosing illnesses, providing prescriptions, dental care, client advising/educating, and other situations or scenarios involving direct interaction with patients and clients.

Requirements for this role include: possessing a DVM degree, being licensed to practice in Illinois, and submission of a resume upon application for this position.
